about
Hello, my name’s Mark McNulty and I’m a Liverpool (UK) photographer. When I blog, I blog a lot about music. About pit access, gig access, lighting and most importantly about the bands and their music themselves. I found myself photographing music a lot over the years because I’m obsessed, like a lot of people. And not just any old music, though my tastes are well varied. I’m in house photographer at a couple of venues in Liverpool as well as working with Liverpool Sound City which has taken out to SXSW in Texas and Dubai for Dubai Sound City in late 2009. I also have a book of my work out called Pop Cultured which you can see here.
I also shoot lots of classical music including performance and portraits which is a whole different kettle of fish but it makes for a nice balance.
Aside from the music based work I work extensively in fashion and commercial photography and although at times I shoot architecture and cityscapes, I’d say that people tend to feature a lot in my work. Over the last year or so on my previous blog I’ve mostly written about music but I think there might be a bit more variation in this one. Hope you like it and if you like it and want to see more then my old blog might still be hanging around here.
And if you didn’t arrive here from my official website then you might want to check it out here.
